The ICSI is committed to the development and maintenance of standards and practice in the speciality of Intensive Care Medicine in Ireland. It was founded in 1986 and currently has over 259 members.

Membership is open to doctors, nurses and health professionals working in intensive care medicine. Dual membership is also available with the ESICM which includes a number of key benefits.
